REFLECTION_01

1.      If you are to design your own school, which curriculum are your prioritize curriculum, state three curriculum and why?
-          If I were to design my own school, I will prioritize written curriculum, supported curriculum, and hidden curriculum because these three curriculums is very important to the students and teachers. It will test their skill, knowledge, and some behavior that they need in their lives. Some of the students have enough money to buy some books and some reading materials that they need in their study. In that situation I can help them to provide it. The students are given the opportunity to gain knowledge that is relevant and of global significance. Develop an understanding concepts, which allows them to make connections throughout their learning.
2.      Why is there a need to revise the curriculum from time to time?
-          That is simply because we know for a fact that education is dynamic. Therefore, there will always be change in the area of education that demands for the innovation and development of the curriculum that will help us to scope up with the changes. One reason why they are changing their curriculum is because it’s outdated. The school has been using the same materials for several years, and new research has shown that different, newer methods helps students succeed. A team met earlier in the year to determine new learning objectives, and another team researched materials and supplies to be used in the classroom. With so many changes, it may be the time to develop and revise aspects of the curriculum.

1.      If you are to design your own school, which curriculum are your prioritize curriculum, state three curriculum and why?
If I were to design my own school, I prioritize these three types of curriculum such as, written curriculum, taught curriculum and learned curriculum. Because I believe that this types of curriculum helps us to fully understand the lesson. As a college student and a future teacher I need to know and understand these types of curriculum so that I will be able to implement to my future students. These are curriculum that needs to be taken by everyone, regardless of major. Especially college students need to acquire more than just academic knowledge, they should also gain the ability to communicate that knowledge, explore their interests independently.

2.      Why is there a need to revise the curriculum from time to time?
-          Because we know for a fact that education is dynamic and to check whether the curriculum is effectively or not, we need to revise because we would be consider the needs, the learning styles and the different knowledge, skills and understanding of our learners because the knowledge that should be taught at schools are also constantly changing.

1.      If you are to design your own school, which curriculum are your prioritize curriculum, state three curriculum and why?
-          If I were be given a change to design my own school, my curriculum priorities are recommended, assessed and support curriculum. Why? Because this may help them to have enough and better understanding to their daily lives. Recommended by the higher education, assessed by the teacher and at the same time support. In this situation I can help them to provide their needs in educational materials like books, computers, laboratory equipment and etc. I know some of the learners can’t provide their need because of financial problem. That’s way they needed such support.

2.      Why is there a need to revise the curriculum from time to time?

-          As a future educator, we badly needed to revise the curriculum from time to time so that there is no reason for us to be late and not updated to the innovation and development of the curriculum. We need to change the curriculum for us to have better understanding, new methods of teaching process that may help learner more effective and realistic.

Shayenarha Felife Reflection number 2 As a teacher, I should've acquire the 7 roles of curricularist in order for me to be more effective, and for my students to understand the subject well. I should be more flexible and should be ready with the things that might come during my teaching career. I should be ready with some intances that might come on my way. If the teacher is not prepared for the inplementation of the new Curriculum, I believe that she/he lacks in most of the function of a teacher as a curricularist. Why? Benny Velancio My reflection episode 2: 1. Aware of the roles of the teachers as a curricularist, how do you percieve your role as curricularist ? • A curricularist a person who have enough experience and knowledge of the curriculum. As a curricularist I need to know and understand the curriculum to be implemented in my learners to fulfill the need of the students. 2. Some teachers in the K-12 curriculum are not aware and prepared of the implementation of the new curriculum, which functions were not played considering the case? Why? • In that case you need to be prepared and have enough knowledge. Because being curriculum specialist is help you to perform easy the task and make it effectively to the learners. Because learning begins with knowing about the curriculum the subject matter or the content. As a teacher, one has to master what are included in the curriculum.
